You Win Some, You Lose Some

Let’s face it. You cant win them all. You can’t score 100% of the shots you take. You can’t nail every 3 point shot. You can’t…get my drift?

What you can do is make the effort every single time. Without fail. However, at the end of the day, after doing all the right things, at the right time with the right choice of words & process, you may lose your sale to the competition. And when that happens, always assume that the other company may not be able to fulfill all their promises as they say would. Listen, not all dealers are cut from the same cloth. Some don’t care about the client like they say they do. Some don’t believe in the wow factor like others do. So, it’s safe the say that your client may not receive the VIP treatment that you provided to them.

So, here it is. Follow up with your client see if they’re happy. Follow up to see how their experience went. Follow up to see if they, in fact, even made the decision even though they told you they would. Things can change on a flip of a dime when clients are ready to make a big investment. Hasn’t it happened to you?

Morale of this post: remain engaged with your client. Follow up on a daily basis. Be your clients’ one stop shop. Be their consultant. Assistant. Liaison. Concierge service. If they get that from you, chances are they won’t from anywhere else. If by chance, they do receive a similar experience, your value proposition should outweigh anyone else’s. Why? There is only one of you!
